TENIMENTI CIVA, THE NEW WINERY 4.0 OPENS IN POVOLETTO
On 28 May, Tenimenti Civa opens the doors of its new Winery 4.0 in Povoletto, three kilometres from the Tenimenti Civa Società Agricola HQ in Bellazoia. An exclusive event, reserved for a limited number of people eager to get to know one of the top producers in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The incredible story of Tenimenti Civa, one of commitment and dedication, and of promoting the region’s great varieties, primarily Ribolla Gialla, began in February 2016. The success achieved in only a few years required new investments for the construction of another production facility, and only one year after building started, Tenimenti Civa 4.0 is opening to the public in conjunction with the Cantine Aperte 2022 event.
This new winemaking facility has the ambitious goal of producing up to 10 million bottles of sparkling wine, from our own grapes and those contributed by other growers. The Winery 4.0, a jewel of winemaking in Friuli Venezia Giulia, is designed to vinify 10,000 tonnes of grapes, with a potential capacity of 10 million litres of still wine and 3 million litres of sparkling wine.
It represents an important milestone also in terms of its effects on Friuli’s economy and employment. To date, 24 people are employed, a quarter of whom are women. In the future, further employment growth of at least 25% is expected, especially in the vinification department, focusing on motivated young women and men, who will be able to benefit from in-house training.
This highly innovative winery is equipped with a sophisticated digital management system, which, in addition to tracking every activity, from receiving the grapes to bottling, records information and exploits it to make the best decisions in terms of production process efficiency. By tracking every single action we aim to provide guarantees and protect the final consumer, providing them with detailed information on all the wines produced.
Attention to sustainability is another crucial feature of the new winery, which is equipped with a photovoltaic system for the self-production of energy sources.
Valerio Civa, owner of the estates in Bellazoia and Povoletto, will welcome guests and accompany them on a guided tour at two different times on 28 May: in the morning at 11.00 and in the afternoon at 3.00. Booking is required.
The event continues with a final toast paired with gourmet finger food.
