“THREE GLASSES” FOR THE SAUVIGNON VIGNETO BELLAZOIA 2021
The Sauvignon Vigneto Bellazoia 2021 obtained the highest recognition of “Three Glasses” n Gambero Rosso’s Italian Wines 2023, a guide that over time has become an authoritative point of reference for enthusiasts from all over the world.
Gambero Rosso evaluates the quality of a wine by assigning a score expressed in symbols, namely glasses. The score ranges from a minimum of one glass to a maximum of Three Glasses, indicating excellent quality.
The Sauvignon Vigneto Bellazoia clearly won over the demanding palates of the tasters. This had also been the case in 2020 and 2021, and more recently in the 2022 Decanter World Wine Awards, which saw the 2020 vintage receive a silver medal.
“We are happy to see the Sauvignon Vigneto Bellazoia once again awarded the highest rating,” said Valerio Civa, owner of Tenimenti Civa, based in Bellazoia and Povoletto. Awards like this repay the careful work in the vineyard, which requires experience and dedication, because each growing year can present different difficulties and peculiarities.
The Sauvignon Vigneto Bellazoia 2021, which deserves a place in the cellar of any connoisseur or wine lover, displays an intense nose, with citrus and passion fruit to the fore, followed by delicate floral hints. On the palate, it offers extraordinary richness of flavour and refreshing acidity. Its structure and aromatic complexity can be exploited to the full when paired with richly-flavoured seafood dishes whose preparation involves the use of citrus fruits. It is also delicious when paired with fresh goat’s cheeses.

“Valerio Civa continues his project to develop Tenimenti Civa, which began in 2016, when he moved onto the regional wine scene. The new winery 4.0 has been operational since 2021, and is located 3km from the company headquarters and the Bellazoia vineyards.
This new winery has set itself ambitious objectives, using the estate’s own grapes as well as those contributed by other local growers. The impressive vineyards are divided into four estates: Bellazoia, Manzano, Faedis and Ravosa, for a total of 75 hectares.
he majority of grapes are destined for the Linea Classica, while the Vigneto Bellazoia selections are used for limited production labels with a strong varietal imprint. An excellent Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso il Vigneto Bellazoia ‘19, is very pleasant to the nose, soft and enveloping on the palate. But the real gem is the Sauvignon Vigneto Bellazoia ’21, intense, savoury, deep and varietal. A Three Glasses wine.”
