Vigneto Bellazoia walks off with two silver medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards

The 2022 edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards (its 19th), the world’s most influential wine competition, awarded Tenimenti Civa with two silver medals, for its Ribolla Gialla Vigneto Bellazoia 2020 and its Sauvignon Vigneto Bellazoia, from the same vintage.

Among the nearly 20,000 wines tasted by the world’s leading experts, Friuli Venezia Giulia stood out for its excellent results.

Among these, the two awards won by Tenimenti Civa confirmed the quality of wines from the Bellazoia vineyard, covering about 22 hectares of vineyards in the hills and on the plain, where the vines grow on the typical “ponca” soils of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. This Friulan term indicates marl (clay and limestone), and sandstone.

The Ribolla Gialla Vigneto Bellazoia, which received awards in previous editions, stood out for its supple structure and a captivating bouquet of citrus and spring flowers, achieving a perfect balance between acidity and richness of flavour. The other award-winning wine was the elegant, drinkable Sauvignon Vigneto Bellazoia, with its harmonious palate and good length.
