Tenimenti Civa’s “High Quality in the Shopping Trolley” initiative at the DeVINO festival in Padua

Bellazoia, 9 November 2018

The eagerly awaited “DeVino Festival”, organized by Despar to promote Italy’s food and wine heritage, will kick off tomorrow, 10 November; doors will be open from 10am to 10pm, in the spacious premises of Interspar at the Brentelle di Sarmeola di Rubano shopping centre in Padua.

This second edition will be packed with meetings, workshops and guided tours organized by the wineries present. The event would not be complete without Tenimenti Civa, which has become a benchmark with its “L’Alta Qualità nel Carrello” (High Quality in the Shopping Trolley) initiative. Visitors will have a chance to appreciate their DOC Friuli Ribolla Gialla Spumante Extra Brut, the sparkling version, a rare treasure that seduces the palate, and two DOC Friuli Colli Orientali wines – Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Schioppettino Biele Zôe 85I15, finishing with their DOC Friuli Cabernet.

The event hosts 48 wineries, 2 distilleries, and 30 different meetings on the subject of wine. Around 200 wines are available for free tasting (to take advantage of this offer, register on the Despar website or at the event itself).

Sommeliers from the FIS, AIS and FISAR associations will be on hand to share their expertise and knowledge with the many wine lovers who want to take advantage of this day of tastings. But that’s not all: you can buy any of the products you taste and like inside the supermarket.

Many well-known personalities will be present at the Event: the 2017 AIS world champion Roberto Anesi, who will be talking about the wines of Trentino Alto Adige, France and the charm of classic method sparklers; Stefano Bariani, wine entrepreneur will lead some Tours of Piedmont; Emanuele Cenghiaro, journalist and sommelier, will tackle the difficult topic of food and wine pairing; Stefano Mangiarotti of Cantina Bertani will lead an exclusive vertical tasting of Amarone della Valpolicella; Daniele Balan will instead be looking at wines from the Bordeaux area; Enrico Pevarello, a professional sommelier, will focus on wines from native vines; while Claudio Serena will be helping us discover the Colli Euganei through the wines of Cantina Vignalta.
Throughout the day you will have a chance to admire the works of Arianna Greco, a young artist from Porto Sant’Elpidio who has created Wine Art, a technique that consists in using wine instead of traditional paints on canvas.
